The Blue Elephant Pages were designed with one goal in mind - simplicity. As the internet becomes forever more complex, diverse and downright huge, there is an inevitible dilution of quality. This index is aimed at people in the UK who need a simple starting point to which you can constantly refer. The search engines and portals are so vast now that I wanted a mini-portal like this to get a handle on the sheer quantity of information out there.

In this high-tech information age I thought it would be great to have something a little more tangible, old-fashioned and comfortable. These are straight, simple listings of superb sites which offer everything the dream of the internet was meant to be many, many years ago. We are no longer subjects of propaganda, just paticipants in knowledge and reasoning based on information which we all have access to at the click of a button. World concsciousness expressed by text and graphics.
